Jan Bednar is the founder of BedroxCap and previously founded and led ShipMonk as CEO. Originally from the Czech Republic, Jan moved to the United States to study at Florida Atlantic University, where he launched BedaBox — the startup that would later evolve into ShipMonk. Today, ShipMonk is a leading provider of fulfillment and technology solutions, serving over 1,500 e-commerce businesses and shipping more than 5 million products monthly to customers worldwide. Jan has been recognized as EY U.S. Entrepreneur of the Year (2022), featured in Forbes 30 Under 30 in Retail & E- commerce, and is an alumnus of Harvard Business School.

Jiri leads investment operations at BedroxCap, overseeing deal sourcing, evaluation, and execution. Before joining the firm, he spent seven years at the investment arm of PPF Group—one of Europe’s largest privately owned investment groups—where he led real estate transactions across various geographies and sectors. He began his career at the management consulting firm Arthur D. Little, focusing on the energy sector. Jiří holds an M.S. from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), and was featured in Forbes 30 Under 30 in the Czech Republic.
